Suruhanjaya Sekuriti (SC) Scholarship

The Securities Commission was founded in March 1993 and is the statutory body responsible for regulating and developing Malaysia’s capital markets. Its main objective is to make sure that the securities and futures market is always fair, efficient, secure and transparent and also to help in the development of an innovative and competitive local market.

Scholarships Offered:

The Securities Commission currently offers two scholarships:

1.    Pre-University Scholarship

• Recipients will undergo A-Levels at recognised local institutions

2.    Tertiary Scholarship

• Recipients will pursue their first degree at a top university locally or overseas 

Who should apply:

SC is looking for the best and the brightest to further their education and someday pursue a career with them. Applicants should be well-rounded high achievers – excellent students who are interested in a bright future with the institution. Among the requirements are:

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Active in co-curricular activities and sports
• Excellent verbal and written skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and the English language
• Have not received a scholarship from another institution

1.    Specific Requirements for the Pre-University Scholarship:

• Not more than 19 years of age during year of application
• At least 9As for SPM

2.    Specific Requirements for the Tertiary Scholarship

• Minimum 3As and 1B+ for STPM, or
• 2As and 1B for A-Levels, or
• A CGPA of at least 3.50 at Diploma/Matriculation levels
